Vaccinations

Vaccinations help keep your pets healthy and happy. At Mueller Pet Medical Center we offer all appropriate vaccines for your pets. And, each pet is evaluated for its individual vaccine needs. We strongly recommend that all kittens and adult cats should be tested for Feline Leukemia and the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (Feline AIDS) prior to vaccinations.

Intestinal Parasites

Due to our pet's lifestyle, they are exposed to a multitude of intestinal parasites. These "worms" can cause disease not only in the pet but some can also cross-contaminate to humans. The number one cause of blindness in children is a cross-contamination of roundworms. For these reasons we strongly recommend all pets be tested at least annually for intestinal parasites. The Heartworm preventives we suggest for both dogs and cats are very effective at also controlling intestinal parasites.

Heartworm Disease

Due to our climate we strongly recommended a Heartworm blood test on all dogs every year. And we strongly recommend all dogs, at all stages of life be placed on a monthly Heartworm Preventive. Due to the increased recognition of Heartworm Disease in cats, we also strongly recommend all Cats be placed on the heartworm preventive Revolution. This product also cross protects against most intestinal and external parasites, including fleas.
